Happy International Women's Day

Today we celebrate the accomplishments of women, even as we strive toward greater equality.

The women of the Kateri Tekakwitha Fund strive daily to improve their lives and support their families, taking advantage of opportunities to further their education, take steps forward in their careers, and achieve economic goals.

The women in the internship program work to increase their skills as they take steps into their desired fields. Through real world experience and supplemental training, they are able to gain knowledge and move toward long-term employment.

One participant shared about her experiences, "The internship program is an opportunity for young women as the program helps us to obtain knowledge and work experience that allows us to perform better."

Another expressed, "The program is a great benefit to all women as currently there is discrimination in the workplace."

The internship program supplements Kateri's other projects, which focus on education and economic initiatives in indigenous rural communities. Your support helps to empower women to reach their goals.
